Blake Corum has added 10 pounds in the offseason.

He’s set for his spotlight in the Michigan offense as a speed option following the departure of Hassan Haskins from last season. And he’s ready for it.

“If anything I feel faster,” Corum told The Michigan Daily.

Corum could be one of the most talented running backs in the nation in 2022. He rushed for 952 yards and 11 touchdowns despite missing time with an ankle injury. That’s impressive for a sophomore.

But Corum is ready to prove it. The talking can only do so much.

“I don’t really care about those things, it’s all preseason,” Corum said. “I don’t even think about it. Obviously I have self goals but I’m more focused on my team right now… I’m gonna get mine, but I’m here for my team and I want to go all the way this year.”

The wait is almost over. The Wolverines host Colorado State in just under two weeks.
