Blake Corum snubbed? Fans, media outraged that star Michigan RB was not named Heisman finalist
Blake Corum was not named one of the 4 finalists for the Heisman Trophy, revealed Monday evening.
Corum had an exceptional 2022 season for Michigan, ending with 1,463 yards and 18 TDs on the ground. Corum also added 80 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. Mohamed Ibrahim is the only B1G RB to surpass Corum in TDs.
Nevertheless, the 4 Heisman Trophy finalists have been announced, and Corum is not included. The finalists are Stetson Bennett, Max Duggan, CJ Stroud, and Caleb Williams.
Understandably, Wolverine fans were not thrilled with the decision.
Check out some reactions below:
If Hendon Hooker or Blake Corum deserved to be Heisman finalists, obviously they should’ve proven it by not getting injured.

Absolutely disgusting to penalize Blake Corum because of an injury.

Michigan RB Blake Corum did more than enough to warrant an invitation to New York as a Heisman finalist. He was snubbed.

in consecutive years, Kenneth Walker and Blake Corum weren’t invited to the Heisman ceremony. Fraudulent award that nobody should take seriously https://t.co/JGN7Y3SkxQ

With all due respect, if you want Stetson Bennett on your team instead of Hendon Hooker or Blake Corum you might want to start watching Soccer more often.

Appreciation tweet for Hendon Hooker and Blake Corum. Hate the idea that injuries kept them from going to NYC after all they did in 2022.

The Heisman has always been a political award, same things I said about Walker. RB is already at a disadvantage, not playing vs OSU ended it. I’m guessing Edwards doing well hurt him with some writers.
I’m not shocked he’s not going, I just feel bad for Blake Corum.— Trevor McCue (@trevormccue) December 6, 2022
Blake Corum and Hendon Hooker deserved to be Heisman finalists over Stetson Bennett

As you can see, Michigan fans in particular are not happy.
Corum missed the B1G Championship Game due to a knee injury.
