Blake Corum has been preparing his assault on Michigan’s record books throughout his career. On Saturday night, he climbed a ledge and joined a familiar face for the Wolverines.

This time, Corum tied Mike Hart — his current position coach — in the record books. Corum’s first-half touchdown against Minnesota was the 41st rushing touchdown of his career, tying Hart for 3rd on the program’s all-time rushing TDs mark.

The touchdown was also Corum’s 43rd from scrimmage which also ties Hart for 3rd on Michigan’s all-time list. Here is how Corum got it done:

The first-place mark in Michigan’s record books in both categories belongs to Anthony Thomas. He produced 49 rushing touchdowns and 50 total touchdowns during his career in Ann Arbor.

Corum is now in Week 6 of the season, so reaching those numbers appears to be a tall task but is not entirely out of the question. We’ll see if he is able to chase down the records throughout the year.
