VIDEO: Michigan captain tossed on controversial targeting call

That was borderline at best.

Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook scrambled for an opening. On first look, it appeared he was hit after the whistle. On second look, it appeared Jack Conklin pushed Joe Bolden into Cook.

Even Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott disagreed with ejecting the Michigan linebacker.

James Ross was already out for the first half because of a targeting call last week. Now, Bolden will be out for the rest of this game and if it holds, he’ll be suspended for Michigan’s game next week.

Right on cue, the Wolverines’ three-game scoreless streak was snapped two plays later.
