Booger McFarland feels that Michigan has the edge over Ohio State, even as Jim Harbaugh serves out the remainder of a 3-game suspension levied by the B1G following an investigation into alleged sign-stealing by the Wolverines program.

The Wolverines face Maryland on Saturday, a game in which they’ll be heavily favored as they have in nearly all of their outings this season. Meanwhile, the Buckeyes are projected to get past Minnesota at Ohio Stadium. That would set up a Nov. 25 showdown at Michigan Stadium to decide the East Division.

Despite Harbaugh not being on the sideline, and despite acting head coach Sherrone Moore leading the Wolverines, McFarland thinks Michigan will prevail.

“I really don’t think Harbaugh’s presence will matter much,” he said on “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Thursday. “I think Michigan is just a better team than Ohio State. They have the better QB, o-line, and defense.”

The Wolverines will be looking to make it 3 straight against the Buckeyes. Last year, they won 43-22 at the Horseshoe, their 1st win in Columbus since 2000.
