Brenda Tracy visits Michigan, meets with football team
Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan football team welcomed a very special guest to its locker room on Thursday, in an attempt to educate players about domestic violence and sexual assault.
Brenda Tracy, who has become a well-known informative speaker around collegiate athletics recently, visited the University of Michigan to speak with the football team about sexual assault on campus. She has met with several other programs since 2016, in an attempt to inform players of dangerous behavior.
After she spoke with the team, Tracy thanked the University of Michigan for inviting her to campus to speak with the team. She also took a photograph with Harbaugh, who praised Tracy and her message on Twitter.
Thank you @brendatracy24 we gained knowledge from your message and greatly inspired by your strength and courage! #SetTheExpectation https://t.co/1bO0ypoFF8

Tracy was raped by several members of the Oregon State football team in 1998 and has wanted to spread her message and share her story across as many campuses as possible. At the time of the assault, Mike Riley was the head coach of Oregon State.
In 2016, Tracy and Riley met face-to-face in Nebraska to talk about what happened nearly 20 years earlier. Following that meeting, Riley had Tracy share her story with his Nebraska football players.
