BTN announces Michigan RB Karan Higdon won't appear in SMU game due to lower body injury
Michigan and SMU are playing on Saturday for the Wolverines’ third game of the season and Jim Harbaugh’s group owned a 21-7 lead going into halftime.
It wasn’t an easy 14-point lead to build, as after one quarter, the game was scoreless. Michigan got a pick-six to end the half, which furthered its then 14-7 lead.
Part of the reason things may not be going completely Michigan’s way is because RB Karan Higdon hasn’t been playing. He has a lower body injury and during halftime, it was announced on BTN that Higdon wouldn’t appear in the game:
Just announced on BTN – Higdon will not play today either. Putting pressure on the lower body injury is too painful to go today.

Some injuries, you can play through. This one for Higdon appears to be too much. To this point in the season, the senior back from Sarasota, Fla. is the Wolverines’ leading rusher, garnering 34 carries for 228 yards and 2 TD.
Michigan-SMU can be watched on BTN.
