BTN's Joshua Perry makes the case for Aidan Hutchinson to win Heisman Trophy
By the end of Saturday night, there will be a new recipient of the Heisman Memorial Trophy. According to FanDuel, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young is a huge favorite to win the award at -6000 over fellow Heisman finalists Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud, and Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett.
Big Ten Network analyst Joshua Perry made the case for Hutchinson to be this year’s Heisman Trophy winner. He believes the Michigan defensive end is the best player in the nation overall, regardless of position.

Hutchinson has had a huge senior for Michigan as he accounted for 58 total tackles, 33 solo tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, 3 pass breakups, and 2 forced fumbles. Hutchinson has been the leader of Michigan’s elite defense that ranks fourth in the nation in points allowed per game (16.1).
He is the first defensive player to be a finalist for the Heisman Memorial Trophy since Ohio State defensive end Chase Young was a finalist in 2019.
