Jake Butt is coming back for more.

The Michigan tight end announced on Twitter than he’ll be returning to Ann Arbor for his senior season and delaying his NFL aspirations.

Over the weekend, Butt told the Detroit News that he was considering returning to have another season to grow in Jim Harbaugh’s system. The first-team All-B1G selection will have a chance to do just that.

Butt was projected in the second round as the top tight end in the 2016 draft, according to CBSSports.com. Instead, Butt will look to build his draft stock as one of the nation’s top tight end.

He had 620 yards and three touchdowns this season playing alongside Jake Rudock.

Next year, Butt will again be Michigan’s top returning red-zone target. If team MVP Jehu Chesson returns, the Wolverines will boast the B1G’s top pass-catching duo.
