Jake Butt will catch many more footballs in his career.
But he’s caught his last pass for Michigan.
The Wolverine tight end went down at the end of a catch and run in the second quarter. Michigan radio announced that Butt will be out for the rest of the Orange Bowl.
Butt limped off the field and ran to the locker room on his own power.

Butt was the Mackey Award winner, given annually to the nation’s top tight end. The two-time All-American was also the Senior CLASS Award winner.
Michigan was already without its Defensive MVP Jabrill Peppers, and now, it’ll have to rally without its senior captain.
