Cade McNamara injury: Jim Harbaugh updates status for Michigan QB following UConn game
Cade McNamara exited Michigan’s blowout win over UConn with what appeared to be a leg injury following a sack.
Jim Harbaugh spoke on McNamara’s status postgame, stating that the backup quarterback will miss at least “a few weeks” following the injury.
Jim Harbaugh’s full quote on Cade McNamara’s injury:
“Cade: Unfortunately, his foot was caught in the ground, got hit from the side the side in the leg. Probably going to be out for a few weeks. Not going to be a season ending thing, I don’t think, but he’ll miss some time.”

Harbaugh named JJ McCarthy the starter last week against Hawai’i. McNamara was in following a strong first half performance from McCarthy.
Still, this hurts for Michigan as conference play gets ready to kick off. The Wolverines are one bad hit to McCarthy away from having to dip far into their reserves. Davis Warren will likely be Michigan’s option for backup in McNamara’s absence.
