Can Jim Harbaugh finally beat Ohio State? Paul Finebaum weighs in on 'The Game'
Will this be the year?
That’s the question everyone is asking as we head into “The Game.” Both Michigan and Ohio State enter this weekend’s game with a 10-1 record with a trip to Indianapolis hanging in the balance. The Wolverines and Buckeyes are playing at an extremely high level.
Does that mean this will finally be the year Jim Harbaugh gets over the hump? Can he erase the bagel in the win column and chalk up his first victory over Ohio State on Saturday?
SEC Network’s Paul Finebaum was asked that very question. He was pretty candid in his response.
“You can ask me this question until I’m 150, and the answer is still no,” Finebaum said on ESPN’s Get Up. “He is incapable of beating his biggest rival.”

Finebaum did acknowledge that Michigan is playing some of its best football of the Harbaugh era right now. He still doesn’t believe the Wolverines have enough in the tank to take down the Buckeyes.
Saturday’s contest has plenty of implications. The winner will not only be heading to Indianapolis, but it will also be one step closer to a College Football Playoff berth.
It sets the stage for one of the most important college football games of the 2021 season.
