Rutgers’ upset chances in Ann Arbor took a significant hit.

According to Rutgers beat reporter Dan Duggan, Leonte Carroo will not be active for Saturday’s game against No. 17 Michigan.

Carroo has been nursing an ankle injury the last three weeks and was held out of the Scarlet Knights’ game last week against Wisconsin. The B1G’s touchdown receptions leader hasn’t played a full game since Rutgers stunned Indiana 55-52 on Oct. 17.

Carroo tried to give it a go against No. 1 Ohio State, but was sidelined the entire second half. No setback was reported, but Carroo is still dealing with a nagging injury that slowed him down before the Ohio State game.

Without Carroo last week, Rutgers managed just 10 points and 82 passing yards.

The Scarlet Knights need to win at least three of their last four games to clinch bowl eligibility.
