CFB expert Bruce Feldman says 2019 will be 'breakthrough' year for Michigan
Add Bruce Feldman to the list of high-profile college football analysts who is buying stock in Michigan this season.
Recently, the college football analyst and reporter for The Athletic joined the Take Ten podcast to talk about all-things B1G. When asked about the team he thinks will win the East this year, Feldman was high on the Wolverines.
The hiring of Josh Gattis is a big reason why Feldman believes this will be the year Michigan gets over the hump.
“I’m going to roll the dice and say this is the year Michigan breaks through,” Feldman said on the podcast. “I’m a big believer in Josh Gattis and I think he’s brought — the word swagger has become cliché — but I thought he’s brought an edge that they could use, especially the way they finished last season.
“They have a great offensive line. I’m gonna think this is the year that they break through.”
Feldman admitted that Ohio State, Michigan State and Penn State will all be contenders this season, as well.
Michigan has been picked by many as the favorite to win the B1G East this season, primarily for the same reason Feldman is high on the Wolverines. The expectations only continue to grow in Ann Arbor.
