Chase Winovich credits Michigan fans for 'rocking' Northwestern's house
Michigan fans tried to make Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines feel like they were playing in Ann Arbor on Saturday. Despite the game being played in Evanston, fans of the Maize and Blue had an incredible turnout.
Having that extra support helped, as Michigan posted a 20-17 win over Northwestern, despite trailing 17-0 early on. The Wolverines improved to 4-1 on the year and 2-0 in B1G play with the victory.
After the win, defensive end Chase Winovich had nothing but great things to say about the Michigan fans who made the trip to Ryan Field. In fact, he said the “Go Blue” chants were his favorite part of the game on Saturday.
“Possible favorite part of the game was when they started to play music while the game was ongoing because our “Go Blue” chants were rocking the whole place,” Winovich said in a tweet. “You guys are the BEST!”

Winovich was sensational in the Michigan win Saturday. The defensive end totaled nine tackles, three for loss, with one sack. After the 17-0 start for Northwestern, the Wolverines didn’t surrender a single point.
The Michigan fans certainly provided a spark in Evanston. And it seems that it fired up Winovich, too.
