Chris Fowler took time out to recognize a pair of players who had exceptional seasons that were cut short due to injury during Saturday’s Heisman ceremony.

Fowler mentioned Blake Corum and Hendon Hooker as players who “were having Heisman Trophy finalist years” before being injured. Fowler also offered support to the players and said he was thinking of them tonight.

It was a classy gesture by Fowler to shout out 2 players who many thought deserved to be in New York. Corum finished his season with 1,463 rushing yards and 18 TDs. Hooker finished the season with 3,135 passing yards and 27 TDs before suffering a knee injury.

The Heisman finalists are all QBs: TCU’s Max Duggan, Ohio State’s CJ Stroud, Georgia’s Stetson Bennett, and USC’s Caleb Williams.
