Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica makes gambling prediction for Michigan-Illinois game

Michigan and Illinois were both ranked in the first College Football Playoff selection committee top 25 of the 2022 season. Three weeks later, the Wolverines are heavy favorites against the Illini.
Even with an 18-point spread, ESPN’s Chris “The Bear” Fallica sees Michigan covering. Fallica joined Greg McElroy’s “Always College Football” to preview the B1G clash from a betting perspective.
“I can’t see Illinois scoring on Michigan. Illinois was a great story,” Fallica told McElroy. “They won some close games. Defensively, they were great, but there was always the feeling in the back of my mind like, ‘can’t continue to win games like this with lack of big play production on the offensive side of the ball.’
“I mean, Michigan hasn’t been in a game in the fourth quarter all year. I would expect that to continue this week.”
All signs point to The Game being a battle of top-5 undefeated teams. Fallica closed the segment by saying he thinks Maryland has a better chance of covering a 27.5-point spread against Ohio State than Illinois covering 18 points against Michigan.
