It didn’t take long for the “overrated” takes to get thrown at Jim Harbaugh this season.

A lot of hype and expectation was focused on the Wolverines heading into the season. After all, Michigan returned a solid defense and added dynamic QB Shea Patterson to the offense. On paper, it appeared Harbaugh had the type of team needed to compete for a B1G Championship and Playoff appearance.

Well, a lot of people are rethinking that hype after Michigan suffered a disappointing loss to Notre Dame to begin the season. To be fair, the Irish look to be a strong team, but a lackluster offense in another big game under Harbaugh is not encouraging.

Clay Travis with Outkick the Coverage even took to calling Harbaugh the most overrated coach in history, citing his large salary despite a 9-9 record in his last 18 games coached:

Travis also pointed out that Harbaugh’s record to this point is eerily similar to that of former Wolverines head coach Brady Hoke:

One thing is for certain: Harbaugh better start winning big games in a hurry if he wants fans to believe in him.
