Connor Stalions, the central figure at Mighian’s major sign-stealing scandal under Jim Harbaugh last season, is back in the world of coaching. Now, he’s helping lead a 5-star quarterback and major SEC commitment during Michigan’s state playoffs.

After leaving Michigan last season, Stalions re-entered coaching at the high school ranks in the state of Michigan for Detroit’s Mumford High School. With Mumford’s season ended, CBS Detroit confirmed that Rogers is now helping lead Belleville during the state playoffs.

Belleville is noteworthy as the home of Bryce Underwood, a 5-star QB and the nation’s No. 1 prospect for the 2025 recruiting class. Underwood has been committed to LSU since January.

Dejuan Rogers, the head football coach at Belleville, told CBS Detroit that Stalions was brought on at the recommendation of a fellow coach. The main role for the former analyst at Michigan has been calling the offense since the start of the playoffs.

“Connor…he’s been a great tool for us in enhancing how we attack opposing defenses,” Rogers said.

Stalions is also assisting with defense and special teams, an opportunity Stalions expressed gratitude for:

“I’m grateful to be working with Coach Rogers, Coach Norman and the rest of the staff,” Stalions said. “There’s a very high expectation to win here at Belleville. All the players have responded very well to the quick adjustments we’ve made, and it’s fun working with them on a daily basis.”

We’ll see how this all works out for Belleville’s playoff hopes, Stalions’ future plans and the development of Underwood.
