Connor Stalions has not forgotten about his archrival, even after what happened with the scandal at Michigan. He posted the following to social media following Michigan’s upset win over the Buckeyes on Saturday:

“Hi friends! They said I wasn’t allowed in Columbus this year Just checking in on my buddy Ryan (Day),” Stalions posted to X. “Everything good???” he was joined by former Michigan offensive lineman Trente Jones in the post.

Obviously, Stalions is not actually checking in on Day, as there is no legitimate connection there outside of the rivalry. The Wolverines may be 7-5 without high expectations beyond the regular-season game, but there is no question this one was enjoyable.

He is just one of many taking a victory lap after the Buckeyes suffered a highly unexpected loss after being ranked the No. 2 team in the nation. It is the perfect illustration of the way the season has gone, with no one team emerging as the true domain team in the league.

How things shake out on that front will be something to watch, but both teams are bowl-eligible, with Ohio State having the opportunity to0 likely make a rebounding run in the College Football Playoff despite this embarrassing loss to an unranked team looks nothing like it did last season. But things loom wide-open in the expanded format, so how this affects the Buckeyes will be one of the hottest topics in college football.
