Connor Stalions is one of the more infamous names in sports at this moment.

The former Michigan staffer is at the center of a sign-stealing saga that shook the world of college sports and resulted in penalties for the university.

Now, Stalions is a volunteer assistant coach for Detroit Mumford High School. The disgraced assistant was thrust into action as the interim head coach after the head coach suffered a mini-stroke.

Well, Stalions’ debut as a HC did not go well. Mumford was blown out by Hamady High School, losing 60-0.

Unfortunately for Stalions, the College GameDay crew received word of this and had to poke fun on Saturday’s show.

“Connor Stalions… the interim head coach for Detroit Mumford. Now apparently, a lot of signals got crossed for Mumford last night. Didn’t get all the signs,” GameDay host Rece Davis joked.

The other GameDay hosts could be heard laughing at the joke.

“Detroit Mumford went to Flint town and found out,” Davis declared. “That’s what happens when you go to Flint. There’s Detroit tough and then there’s Flint tough.”

The announcers enjoy poking fun at Stalions, and that can likely be expected to continue. Wherever Stalions goes in his coaching career, it’s unlikely the stink of this scandal will wash off.
