Controversy in Ann Arbor? Michigan awarded INT on questionable call vs. Maryland
Michigan and Maryland are engaged in a nice battle to open B1G play in the Big House. That game has been back-and-forth in the first half, and Michigan came up with a key turnover in the second quarter.
With the Terrapins up by a score of 13-10 and driving against the Wolverines, DJ Turner made a diving interception that gave the possession to Michigan. However, replay reviews appeared to show the ball hitting the turf out of Turner’s possession.
The FOX crew debated the play and expected a replay review to be initiated by the officials. The replay never came with the Wolverines awarded a very questionable possession early in the game.
We’ll see if this play proves critical when the final score is revealed.
