For the first time in a long time, Connor Cook won’t be in pads when Michigan State takes on Michigan.

The former MSU quarterback moved on to the NFL, and he’ll likely be in Tampa Bay with his Oakland Raiders on Saturday.

But Cook is still capable of delivering some fighting words from the other side of the country.

The lightning rod for conversation delivered not-so-subtle reminder of his feelings about Michigan:

It’s that week again! ScUM on the clock ????#7outof8

Cook’s feelings about “ScUM” Michigan will only add fuel to the fire for Saturday’s showdown. The Wolverines are overwhelming favorites to get their first win against the five-loss Spartans since 2012 and just their second win in the series since 2007.

Cook won’t have a chance to back up his talk, though the MSU touchdown passes leader did post a 3-0 record against Michigan, including last year’s fumbled punt miracle.

If Cook’s Spartans don’t pull off the upset on Saturday, you can bet he’ll hear it from plenty of Michigan fans.
