Rich Hill is a 39-year-old pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Prior to his lengthy MLB career, which is ongoing, he pitched for the Michigan Wolverines.

A few days ago, Hill was named the Tony Conigliaro Award winner. On Sunday, however, he and his wife were arrested outside Gillette Stadium, where they were trying to watch the New England Patriots-Buffalo Bills game.

According to The Boston Globe, Hill and his wife tried entering the stadium with an oversized bag at multiple gates. They weren’t allowed in and refused to to leave. Hill was then reportedly trying to stop the police from putting his wife in a vehicle to be taken to the station.

They were booked on disorderly conduct and trespassing charges.

“He saw her as they were trying to get her into a van to bring to the police station, and he started to interfere with the officers,” Robert Bolger of the Foxborough police told The Globe. “He was told several times to back up and he would not. And he ended up getting arrested.”
