David Ojabo has not seen CJ Stroud in a game since the two faced off in the 2021 version of The Game.

In that matchup, Ojabo’s Michigan team beat Stroud’s Ohio State team 42-27 with Ojabo recording 3 tackles, a TFL and a sack of Stroud. During Week 1 of the NFL season, the two players and former rivals matched up once again.

Ojabo is now a member of the Baltimore Ravens and is entering his second NFL season. Meanwhile, Stroud is making his NFL debut with the Houston Texans as the team’s rookie starting quarterback.

That game went in favor of the Ravens with a final score of 25-9 as Houston was unable to generate a lot of offense on the road. Ojabo also delivered a moment reminiscent of The Game rivalry.

In the fourth quarter, Ojabo came off the edge and beat the right tackle with a speed move. He was on Stroud in a flash, forcing a strip-sack of the QB and creating a turnover for the Ravens.

Overall, the Raven defense recorded 10 QB hits and 5 sacks as Houston struggled to protect Stroud. Former Penn State star Odafe Oweh did not register a sack but led the Ravens with 3 QB hits.
