Despite quarterback Joe Milton being mistake-free in Michigan’s 49-24 win last week against Minnesota, College Gameday analyst David Pollack wants everyone to chill out a little bit about his play.

Pollack spoke about it on College Gameday this morning and said, “I think everybody looked at the point total and everybody says Joe Milton destroyed it and killed the game. I would just say, pump the brakes. I’m interested to see his passing game. Him throwing the ball, it’ll be interesting to see if he’s the guy.”

Milton only threw the ball 22 times last week for the Wolverines but completed 15 of those passes for 225 yards. He also added one passing touchdown and rushed for one too.

Milton replaced two-year starter Shea Patterson and is the first Jim Harbaugh-recruited player to start in a Week 1 game for the Wolverines in six seasons.

He may have to throw the ball more than 22 times today if Michigan is going to beat Michigan State. The game is at Noon ET and will be televised on FOX.
