Donovan Edwards saved his best runs in The Game for the fourth quarter. In the B1G Championship Game against Purdue, he unleashed one on the first play of the second half.

After getting bottled up for much of the first half, Edwards and Michigan will have to lean on their status as a second-half team to pull away from the Boilermakers. Purdue stayed close with Michigan holding a 14-13 lead at the break.

Fortunately, Edwards gashed the Boilermakers right away in the third quarter for a huge 60-yard gain. He broke down one Purdue defender in the hole with a beautiful move before escaping down the sideline.

Kalel Mullings would eventually score the touchdown on a short one-yard run, but Edwards’ near-home run set up the entire drive. He went over 100 yards for the game on that drive, and we’ll see if Edwards to help finish off the win in the second half.
