Donovan Edwards needed just one play to make a big impact on Michigan’s Fiesta Bowl appearance.

On the first play from scrimmage in the College Football Playoff, Edwards found a big hole opened up by the Wolverine offensive line. He nearly rolled all the way for a touchdown on the opening play of the game but was eventually tackled down after a pickup over 50 yards.

We’ll see if TCU is able to tighten things up, but that is a big first gain by Edwards:

Michigan’s drive was eventually stalled out inside the 10-yard line with the Wolverines stopped on fourth down. Still, the Wolverines showed they can move the ball in explosive ways on the opening drive.
