ESPN analyst Heather Dinich believes Michigan — and not Ohio State — should be the preseason favorite to win the Big Ten in 2023.

Dinich explained her reasoning in a video on Twitter while citing a recent story on ESPN.

“Michigan, as we sit here in February, has far more answers [than Ohio State],” Dinich said. “Starting at quarterback with JJ McCarthy where he’s returning for his 2nd season as the starter. I fully expect the staff will ask him to do more things, have more confidence in him and open up the passing game a little bit. And by the way, he’s got Blake Corum returning at running back to help take some of the pressure off of him.

“Blake Corum will absolutely be in the Heisman conversation as long as he can stay healthy this fall. And both of them should be playing behind what, again, should be one of the best offensive lines in the country. Oh and by the way, Michigan gets Ohio State at home this year in The Game.”

Here’s video of her remarks:

Over on ESPN, Dinich highlighted concerns at Ohio State around play-calling and the quarterback position with CJ Stroud headed to the NFL. Kyle McCord and Devin Brown are expected to compete for the starting job this offseason.

Michigan has won back-to-back meetings vs. the Buckeyes.
