An expectation-filled season has not gone as hoped in Ann Arbor, but the Wolverines still have a chance to end the season on a strong note.

Coming into the season, many expected Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan squad to be the heavy favorite in the B1G East. Unfortunately, a blowout loss to Wisconsin and a tough loss to Penn State has likely put those hopes behind them.

For a team that entered the season with legitimate B1G Championship aspirations, a 7-2 mark is a bit disappointing. But with three games remaining, Michigan has a chance to end the year on a high note heading into bowl season.

ESPN’s FPI recently updated predictions for the final three games, and the in-state rivalry against Michigan State is now expected to be the easiest game remaining on the schedule. That is definitely a twist to the rivalry game.

If Michigan gets past that game, it will be favored against Indiana before an extremely tough contest against Ohio State at home.

Here’s how the FPI is predicting the final three games:

  • Nov. 16 vs Michigan State – 84.2%
  • Nov. 23 @ Indiana – 75.5%
  • Nov. 30 vs Ohio State – 17.7%
