It’s rivalry week for Michigan and Michigan State in Week 8, and it is setting up to be another intense meeting between these two teams!

The Wolverines are on a particularly good roll, winning six straight since a season-opening loss to Notre Dame. Michigan has played well on both sides of the ball since the loss and dominated Wisconsin in a 38-13 win Saturday. Jim Harbaugh’s squad is all the way up to No. 6 in the AP Poll and will look to keep their CFB Playoff hopes alive with a win over the Spartans.

For Mark Dantonio and the Spartans, they are trying to fight back after two early-season losses. Michigan State fell out of the AP Top 25 after losses to Arizona State and Northwestern, but you can count on the Spartans being ready for their archrivals. The team is also coming off an upset win over Penn State that pushed them back into the AP Poll at No. 24. MSU will look to play with confidence in the rivalry despite missing players battling injuries.

Anything is bound to happen in a rivalry game between these two teams, but ESPN’s FPI definitely sees one team as a favorite in this year’s matchup. The FPI gives the Wolverines a 68.9% chance of continuing their hot streak with a win over the Spartans.
