ESPN’s SP+ predictive metrics model — started by Bill Connelly — predicts No. 2 Michigan to win 44-7 when it hosts Indiana on Saturday. That result would have the Wolverines covering the 34-point spread.

Jim Harbaugh’s team will be looking to continue its undefeated start to the season by taking down the Hoosiers. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy is putting together his best season as a Wolverine, having thrown for 1,290 yards, rushing for another 133, and accounting for 14 total touchdowns.

The Michigan defense has yet to allow more than 10 points in a game this season, and the team as a whole has dominated every opponent it has come across.

Indiana, meanwhile, has stumbled to a 2-3 record in a pivotal year for head coach Tom Allen.

The Hoosiers fell to Ohio State in the opener and Maryland two weeks ago, and their only wins have come over FCS Indiana State and Akron, who IU only beat 29-27. Tennessee transfer Tayven Jackson has struggled with ball security, and the dynamic Jaylin Lucas has yet to truly get going. On the bright side, IU should be well-rested coming off of a bye week.

The game between Indiana and Michigan can be seen at 12:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
