Ex-Jim Harbaugh, Michigan assistant reportedly returning to Ann Arbor for 2nd stint with Wolverines
Jim Harbaugh added another piece to his new-look staff for 2022, this time adding a former assistant back for a second stint in Ann Arbor.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Michigan is adding Tom Gamble to Harbaugh’s staff as the director of player personnel. Gamble served with the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2021 season but is now returning to Ann Arbor.
Schefter pointed out that Gamble previously served with Harbaugh in San Francisco and with the Wolverines. Schefter also reported that Gamble had a desire to be around Harbaugh again and that it was his decision to return to Michigan.
Tom Gamble worked with Harbaugh in SF, at Michigan, and now again at Michigan. Gamble spent last season as the Jags Sr. Personnel Executive but wants to be around Harbaugh and chose to go back to Ann Arbor.
