Just days after his departure from Michigan, reports are that former Wolverines defensive coordinator Don Brown may be headed to a new post.

New Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch has discussed the hiring process while assembling a for the Wildcats, and has apparently been looking to add Brown as a centerpiece for his new staff.

The pair are familiar with each other, as Fisch and Brown worked together at Michigan during the 2016 season. Fisch was the Wolverines’ passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach, while Brown ran the Michigan defense.

This year’s Wolverines allowed nearly 35 points per game, after having to re-work a defense that lost multiple picks in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Before the 2020 season, Brown’s defenses in Ann Arbor had never finished outside the top-10 nationally in yard per play. His squads were consistently ranked among the stingiest defenses nationally in rushing yards allowed, along with scoring defense.
