Hudson is a native of Toledo, Ohio. He was a member of Michigan’s 2017 recruiting class, but redshirted his true freshman season.

In 2018, Hudson played in three games for the Wolverines, primarily in a reserve role along the offensive line. As a high school recruit, Hudson was a defensive lineman.

Both Michigan and Cincinnati finished the 2018 season with 10-2 records.
