Finebaum weighs in on Michigan's chances to win the B1G
Paul Finebaum and Michigan don’t really get along. Ever since Jim Harbaugh returned to Ann Arbor, the college football radio host has been critical of the Wolverines’ accomplishments.
On Sunday morning during a SportsCenter appearance, Finebaum was asked to break down Michigan’s chances to threaten for a shot at the B1G East crown. The SEC Network host wasn’t overly critical of the Harbaugh and the Wolverines this time, but he doesn’t sound too confident in their chances.
“Michigan has serious problems,” Finebaum said. “Michigan State is a game Jim Harbaugh has not done well with. Penn State, you know the deal there. And the one at the end of the year, Ohio State, just looks unbeatable in the B1G.”
Finebaum isn’t wrong. Harbaugh is a combined 1-5 against Michigan State and Ohio State and Penn State proved its on the same level as the Buckeyes. So the Wolverines definitely have their hands full moving forward.
Remember how I said Finebaum wasn’t overly critical of Michigan this time? Well, he wasn’t, but he did have to get one jab in there.
“You could fall asleep watching the Michigan offense,” he said.
Michigan hosts Maryland in a B1G East clash next Saturday. After that, the Wolverines will take on No. 15 Wisconsin, No. 21 Michigan State and No. 9 Penn State in the heart of their schedule.
