Former Michigan big man decides to transfer to SEC program
Former Michigan big man Colin Castleton has decided to leave Michigan for the SEC.
Over the weekend, former four-star recruit and Michigan center Colin Castleton announced his decision to transfer to Florida. He had made the choice to hit the NCAA transfer portal following the 2019-20 season and did not take long to find a new destination.
“First off I would like to say thank you to the University of Michigan for these past two years. I will be forever grateful for the wonderful memories I’ve had and relationships built,” Castleton wrote on Twitter. “After careful consideration with my family I have decided to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Florida.”
At 6-foot-10, Castleton provided the Wolverines with some length and depth in the post. He appeared in 25 games for Michigan last season, averaging 3.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest. In his career in Ann Arbor, he played in 44 total games.
Florida finished the season with a 19-12 record and an 11-7 mark in B1G play.
