While receiving an honor from the Football Alumni of Michigan on Tuesday, former Wolverines football coach Lloyd Carr shared what he misses most about football.

As one could have guessed, it was the interaction between the players and coaches in the locker room.

“There is nothing like going into that locker room (after a win) where just you and your teammates and coaches celebrate just for a few minutes and then we sing that song,” Carr said. “I’ll always miss that.”

The Football Alumni of Michigan honored Carr Tuesday before his planned move to the southern part of the United States. Watch Carr’s full explanation for what he misses most about coaching here:

Carr coached 13 years at Michigan, amassing a 122-40 record. During his tenure, the Wolverines earned four trips to the Rose Bowl, where he went 1-3. Michigan’s lone Rose Bowl victory under Carr in 1997 capped off a 12-0 season; the Wolverines shared a piece of the National Championship with Nebraska that season.
