Former Michigan coach John Beilein, the school’s all-time winningest coach, will be inducted into the College basketball Hall of Fame.

The news, which comes via Andrew Kahn of MLive.com was announced by the Hall on Wednesday afternoon

Beilein led the Wolverines to 2 national championship berths in 2013 and 2018. He coached Michigan from 2007 thru 2019 before handing the keys off to current head coach Juwan Howard. Beilein started at Canisius college in New York before moving on to Richmond. He won 100 games there before accepting the vacant West Virginia role in 2002.

The legendary Michigan coach is 754-425 (.640) in his college career. He left Michigan in 2019 to head to the Cleveland Cavaliers and is currently heading into his second season as the Detroit Pistons’ Senior Adviser for Player Development.
