Former Michigan DL Maurice Hurst Jr. is accustomed to sacking quarterbacks or stuffing the run. However, he find a different way to terrorize a QB in the passing game during Sunday’s action.

Facing the Seattle Seahawks, Hurst dropped back into coverage on a 3rd-and-6 play. QB Geno Smith never saw Hurst dropped as he looked over the middle of the field.

Smith’s throw tried to find a receiver near the first-down marker, but Hurst had other plays. The DL tipped the pass up in the air himself and eventually hauled in the deflection for a big-man interception.

Believe it or not, this is not Hurst’s first career interception. He also had a pick while playing for the Oakland Raiders in the 2019 season. Now with the Cleveland Browns, Hurst entered Sunday’s game with 2 pass breakups, half a sack, 2 TFLs and 2 QB hits as a rotational piece for the defense.
