The Indianapolis Colts are bringing on a former Michigan product. The player was signed from the New England Patriots’ practice squad on Tuesday.

Cameron McGrone is joining the Colts, as the news was announced via the team’s social media account. McGrone spent 2019-2020 at Michigan and compiled 91 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks. It’s uncertain as to what role McGrone will have with his new team.

The Patriots drafted McGrone in the 5th round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He was added to the practice squad on Aug. 31.

The Colts made the McGrone move as well as some others after adding RB Jonathan Taylor to IR. It was reported that Taylor’s 2022 season was over by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Taylor left during the first half vs. the Minnesota Vikings with a high ankle sprain.

Indianapolis is now 4-9-1 after blowing a 33-point lead to the Vikings on Saturday. The Colts face the Los Angeles Chargers next on Dec. 26.
