Former Michigan standout Cesar Ruiz has been sidelined.

Ruiz, who is dealing with a foot injury, has been placed on injured reserve by the New Orleans Saints.

Ruiz, a former first-round pick, is a former first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. NOLA.com notes that Ruiz has played 100 percent of the Saints’ offensive snaps in 2022.

Ruiz was at 31 consecutive starts, the team’s active leader, before being placed on IR. He made 9 starts in his rookie season before starting all 17 contests in 2021 and all 14 games of the 2022 campaign.

The Saints are currently 5-9 heading into a Week 16 matchup with the 6-8 Cleveland Browns. The game is set for Saturday at noon CT/1 p.m. ET and will air on CBS.
