A former Michigan offensive lineman and graduate assistant has landed his first coaching job on the college level.
Tuesday, Pat Kugler announced through his Instagram account that he would be leaving Michigan after serving as a graduate assistant for the 2018. He is headed to Howard University, where he’ll be the offensive line coach.
“My time at Michigan has come to an end,” Kugler wrote. “From playing here for 5 years to coaching here this past year it has been an unbelievable experience. I have accepted the job as the Offensive Line Coach for Howard University and am extremely excited for this opportunity! Forever #GoBlue!”

Kugler started in all 13 games at center for Michigan in the 2017 season, his senior year. He played in 23 career games for the Wolverines.
Michigan finished the 2018 season with a 10-3 record, registering its third 10-win season in four years.
Howard, Kugler’s next stop, is an FCS program and finished the season at 4-6.
