Shea Patterson’s football career will continue in Canada.

Wednesday afternoon, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the BC Lions have signed the former Michigan quarterback. Patterson also took to Twitter to express his excitement to take his talent to the Canadian Football League.

Patterson spent two seasons at Michigan (2018-19) after transferring out of Ole Miss. He was not picked in the 2020 NFL Draft but was a member of the offseason squad with the Kansas City Chiefs but was later waived by the franchise.

“O’ Canada! New chapter begins…Let’s get it!!” Patterson wrote on Twitter.

In his two seasons at Michigan, Patterson threw for 5,661 yards with 45 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He maintained a 60.1% completion percentage over the two seasons and also rushed for 323 yards and an additional 7 touchdonws.

Michigan was 19-7 with Patterson under center.
