Former Michigan QB to make broadcasting debut at FOX in Week 1
A former Michigan quarterback will be kicking off his broadcasting career at FOX in Week 1 of the college football season. The network released a statement regarding broadcast teams on Thursday.
FOX revealed the former Wolverines quarterback Devin Gardner will be making his broadcast debut on Friday, Sept. 3. He’ll be working alongside play-by-play announcer Eric Collins for the South Dakota State-Colorado State game.
Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. ET on FS1.

Gardner was at Michigan from 2010-14. He appeared in 50 career games with the Wolverines and threw for 6.336 yards and 44 touchdowns while maintaining a 60.4% career completion rate. He also rushed for 916 yards and 24 additional touchdowns.
Gardner had a brief stint with the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL in 2015 before moving on to the X-League and the Canadian Football League.
