Former Michigan star Caris LeVert reportedly involved in NBA trade
Caris LeVert is reportedly on the move, getting included in an NBA trade Sunday afternoon.
After starting his career with the Brooklyn Nets, LeVert was traded to the Indiana Pacers during the 2020-21 season. This season, LeVert has started 39 games and is averaging 18.7 points on 45% shooting. He is coming off a 42-point barrage in a Friday night loss to the Chicago Bulls.
Now, LeVert is headed to the Cleveland Cavaliers. That is per a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. According to Wojnarowski, the package Indiana is receiving includes Ricky Rubio and a trio of draft picks.

Wojnarowski also reported that LeVert is “thrilled” to be heading to Ohio via the trade to play for a contender.
LeVert is thrilled with the chance to return to his Ohio home and join an emerging contender with Cavs. He gives Cleveland a significant wing player who’ll be eligible for an extension this summer. Pacers get Cavs first-round pick and a Houston second that’ll be in low 30’s.
