At this point, no further details are known. Butt played at Michigan from 2013-16 and caught 138 passes for 1,646 yards and 11 TD. He was a mismatch for any defender opposing teams threw at him, that’s why he was selected as a First-Team All-American twice (2015, 2016).
Butt then was selected in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. He fell to the fifth round — after he was projected as a second-round pick by many — due to tearing his ACL in his final collegiate game.
With the Broncos, Butt hasn’t done a ton, due to his injury at Michigan. For the entire 2017 season, he was on the IR by the Broncos.
So far in 2018, Butt has caught 8 passes for 85 yards in 3 games.
