Former Michigan TE to join BTN broadcast team for Wolverines' spring game
The Big Ten Network’s broadcast crew will have a special guest on the microphone for Michigan’s spring game this weekend.
The network announced on Friday that former Michigan tight end Jake Butt will be on the call for Saturday’s spring game. The annual event is scheduled for a 12 p.m. ET start and will air on Big Ten Network.
In a preview for Saturday’s game, Butt provided a list of the 5 things he’ll be watching when the Wolverines are on the field at Michigan Stadium this weekend:
- New coordinators
- QB battle
- New-look defense
- Early enrollees
- Live football

Butt played at Michigan from 2013-16 and was part of Harbaugh’s first 2 seasons in Ann Arbor. Over that 4-year career, the tight end was responsible for 138 catches for 1,646 yards and 11 touchdowns.
In each of his final 2 seasons at Michigan, Butt totaled more than 500 yards receiving yards.
Butt was a fifth-round selection in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos.
