Former Michigan WR Nico Collins hauls in 1st NFL TD catch
In the final preseason game of 2021, Nico Collins found the end zone.
The former Michigan wide receiver scored his first NFL touchdown on Saturday evening, hauling in an 11-yard pass from Davis Mills at the 8:44 mark in the 3rd quarter. It was one of two catches for Collins, who ended the game with 16 yards.

In Houston’s three preseason games, Collins totaled 3 receptions for 4o yards and a touchdown. The Texans dropped Saturday’s finale to Tampa Bay 23-16.
Collins was a third-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, going No. 89 overall to Houston. Though he opted out of the 2020 season because of the pandemic, the receiver had a solid career in Ann Arbor.
At Michigan, Collins totaled 78 receptions for 1,388 yards and 13 touchdowns in three seasons.
