A former Michigan receiver has some beef with head coach Jim Harbaugh.

In his first three seasons in Ann Arbor, Harbaugh has produced a 28-10 record, made three bowl games and hit 10 wins in back-to-back seasons. Though the program took a slight step backwards this year (8-4), the general consensus is that the former UM quarterback has things headed in the right direction.

But Amani Toomer — a former receiver from the mid 1990s — doesn’t believe that’s necessarily the case.

The former All-B1G receiver was asked about Harbaugh’s success at Michigan over the last three seasons, something that’s been primarily praised. But Toomer doesn’t few this stint as particularly great, pointing to Harbaugh’s record in rivalry game as evidence.

“I’m really upset with how Harbaugh has been at Michigan,” Toomer told Chat Sports. “1-5 against Michigan State and Ohio State, only beat Michigan State once, last year and the rest of the times it’s a loss.

“I think that he has not performed as well as I thought he should. Hasn’t turned the program around. He and Brady Hoke are neck-and-neck in records…he’s just a guy who hasn’t won anywhere.”

Harbaugh, of course, took the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2013, and has taken the Wolverines to a New Years Six bowl.

When it comes to Harbaugh, there really isn’t any middle ground. Fans, coaches, players and even media either love the guy or hate the guy. It seems like Toomer isn’t a huge fan.
